Maintenance Questions
Who will actually be looking after my site?
I personally will be looking after your website, I started my career back in 2002 so you know it’s in good hands, there’s nothing that I haven’t dealt with in my long career, I never outsource anything.
Can I still update or work on my website?
Of course you can, you still are 100% in control. But it would be a good idea to let me know when you are just in the off chance that we might be working on the same thing at the same time and cause some problems.
How do you take payments?
I accept all major credit cards all safely and securely taken via Stripe, PayPal recurring can also be arranged if you would prefer, unfortunately cash and cheques are not accepted.
My website is currently broken, will a care package fix it?
If your website is currently broken then it would be advisable to contact me and pre-book a hours work (£20) so I can look through your website and try and diagnose the issue. If it’s a terminal error then a care package won’t be of use, you’ll need a new website built, but that’s the worst case scenario.
Am I locked into a contact?
You certainly are not, but as soon as the payment is cancelled the work stops then all the maintenance, work, SEO and security updates stop and your website will fall in to disrepute before to long.
Do you have set work hours?
Being a freelancer I do work normal office hours but I am also available outside of normal working hours.
What if my care package doesn't cover the work needed?
If there’s a big issue with your website that can’t be rectified in the allocated time for the package I will inform you of the situation, additional work is billed at £20 a hour (cheap huh!). Or if it’s not a critical change i.e. your site still works. I can use your monthly available time and work on it until it’s fixed.
Would my site be hosted with you?
I do offer top spec lightning fast managed WordPress hosting amongst other types of hosting yes. If you’re paying too much for your hosting and if it’s not very good I will suggest that you move your website. Check out my hosting here HOSTING
Do you offer a discount service?
Yes I do, if you have multiple websites with me, or if you’re a referral I always offer some form of discount.
Someone else designed my website.
It doesn’t matter who made your website or where it’s hosted so long as it’s created using WordPress, once I login and and run the necessary checks I can advise you on where you should switch hosting etc.
