The freelance web designer behind the work
I’m Chris Bennett, a UK-based digital designer who has been designing and developing websites and advertising for over 20 years, and freelance since 2012. When you work with Bennetts Design, you work with me.
My story
Expert digital designer, from print to pixels
- 01
Starting out at a printers, 2002
My career began in 2002 with a two-year apprenticeship at a printers, learning graphic design and the full printing process. Before it ended, a local website development firm approached me to join them, and I agreed.
- 02
Growing with a web firm
As the firm expanded I became an integral part of the team, giving advertising and marketing presentations to prospective investors and franchisees, heading up the franchise advertising and marketing department and developing clients’ websites. I helped the firm grow into a multi-national franchised corporation.
- 03
Going it alone, 2012
In 2012 I went self-employed. I took the clients I had built up and the wealth of knowledge I had gained, and started a new chapter. I haven’t looked back since.
- 04
Today
I freelance for a large advertising company in Essex and help a multitude of start-up companies get off the ground with their branding, marketing, website development and social presence.
